The Way of Telling: Spring 2024
In my final semester at The Fay Jones School of Architecture + Design (Spring 2024), I undertook The Way of Telling, a course examining the evolving role of AI in design and the complexities it introduces. Through a series of lectures and practical applications, I developed proficiency in AI-driven tools such as Discord and Firefly, gaining insight into their creative potential.
The course culminated in the development of a children’s storybook centered on architecture, allowing us to explore fiction or non-fiction while tailoring content to a specific age group. Extensive research into existing literature revealed a scarcity of books that effectively distill architectural concepts for young audiences. Leveraging AI to generate characters, construct settings, and refine narratives presented initial challenges, but as I honed my skills, I seamlessly integrated technology into the creative process while maintaining originality and a distinct personal voice.
This experience not only expanded my technical expertise but also deepened my passion for crafting engaging, educational narratives, reinforcing my ability to merge innovation with storytelling in meaningful ways.
